2015/16 will be the first season that a Eurostar train will run directly from London to Lyon. The journey to Lyon will take just over four and a half hours, servicing access to resorts such as Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes.
The second new route – and a big plus for those who prefer the Swiss Alps – Eurostar has introduced a connecting service to Geneva via. Lille. The journey to Geneva takes just over six hours.
Cost for Eurostar return tickets to the French Alps start at £149, with fares to Geneva starting at £127 return and those to Lyon from £89 return.
Voyages SNCF also provide connecting services, so it is also worth checking their website for prices and availability.
